Small-scale modding
Has anyone successfully modded this game to make the AI more aggressive in sandbox mode? The computer hits back at me just fine, but never seems to fight one another aside from minor raiding. I'd like to see a dynamic map where the AI is taking cities from one another. Under the aigoal script, the sandbox mode is set to "defensemanage," yet the various scenarios such as Philip and the two Wars have ofher goaltypes such as "offense" and "raid." I tried setting all of the AI goals to "offense" under the sandbox script, but after 3 hours of play I can't say I've noticed any difference. Do I also need to specify target regions for the AI to move into? It would take more work, but something like making the neighboring factions a target for offensive action might make for a more fluid and exciting map. If anyone else has tried anything like this, I'd love to hear about it.
