This is a regular Steam thing. It requires you to have Steam running in order for you to play the games you have on Steam. Not just this game...any game that was put through Steam. It's not a problem that needs solving. It just is.

The thing is, Steam WAS running when this message came up. Restarting the computer fixed this though.

Of course you need Steam running. I thought people would have learned about this wonderful (read: terrible) thing that just about everything has for the master race has: DRM.

It's a shame it effects paying customers more than pirates.

I fail to see the problems in DRM. steam is working flawless for me, so does Uplay, even Origin.
