Got a slight and very off putting issue with my GCII game.

I've finally made it to the point in the game where I can make large scale ships... only one problem though. whenever I create one the game craps out and shuts down on me. Anyone know what the issue is, and if so a potential fix?

Create one as in building your own or selecting one from the default ship menu? I find your custom built ships are far superior to the ones the game gives you, and I also recall having a similar problem but I don't remember the circumstances.

OH, sorry, I didn't make it clear.
I customize them from the ground up. I hate the defaults, that and I quite enjoy creating my own designs. The look of the ship, the sub-systems onboard, and whatever else.
As soon as large scale ships come into it, the game will not allow me to create a large scale ship design. I can make the ship itself, and can put all of it's gadgets onboard but as soon as I try and save said ship to a template the game shuts down on me. It's a bit of a game killer to be honest.

Odd ... I remember reading somewhere (I think) That GC2 can run in windows 32bit BUT its ideal for 64bit. What you running?
