Help me please!!

I've been having trouble with my game for a number of weeks now. Running latest version of windows 8 and everytime that I try to play the game it works fantastically for about two turns and the game does what I can only describe as freezing up. The games doesn't crash but you cannot do anything in the game your cursor just disappears nor does the screen close out (in fact you cannot close the game at all even if you try to force quit.). You have to restart my computer completely to get the game off the screen.

I feel that I've done everything that I've can here; I've uninstalled and re-installed countless times, deleted all the data that I had backed up on my computer, even uninstalled and reinstalled steam and nothing works. Is there anyone that can help me?
