I'm also having the problem. The text flickers on quite a few of the screens as well. Mind you, this has only been the case since the update.

Yes I know, I wonder if they have this problem with the GOG version.

Has anyone found a fix for this yet?

Well, the only fix i've found is to untick the Full Screen option and play it still with my native resolution (nothing else changes aside from unticking the full screen button and restarting)

Update your video drivers?

They're current, at least in my case, on both my AMD/ATI System (laptop) as well as my NVidia system (desktop). The text flickering happens when it's in fullscreen mode and goes away completely when I untick the fullscreen option.

Sorry to hear you're experiencing this problem. Can you download and run the tool below:

http://sd.stardock.com/Support/supportToolTest/SDSupportTool.exe

Then attach the .zip that's created and send it in with a ticket to support. With your ticket, if you could also link to this forum post, it would be most helpful:

In MyGames, look for you GalCiv directories (you may have more than one).

With notepad, open the prefs.ini file and edit:

Fullscreen=1

to:

Fullscreen=0

This fix worked, thanks Stardock. You guys are the best!
