I'm having fun...
While I will admit up front NOT to have read every single post in this forum, I took note about a lot of the negativity towards this title. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, as I am entitled to mine. And my opinion is: it was a fair purchase. I'm playing through the campaign and I'm having good fun; worth the money I spent.

I can only take a shot in the dark when I say that at least some (not all, but some) of the disappointment of the game is that it wasn't what people expected: DKIII. The thing is, to my knowledge, the DEVs never said it was DKIII. When the game is accepted for what it is, it's not bad. It's given me entertainment and a has me interested enough to progress.

Some of it gets repetitive, but I'm okay with it. I'm not trying to play it all through in one sitting. Spaced out, the repetition serves more as a good means of rote learning.

Plus, I'm always trying to find way to maximize my dungeon layout. Heroes find their way to my brewery, get wasted, then stumble into my beast den where a minotaur resides, while my army waits in an adjacent hallway to flank. >:-)

So to the development team, I say, "good job." And to the rest, I say, "if you're not sure, watch some gameplay footage."

The game is available on Greenman for €5, so is there really a new patch?

Really the worst thing about this game is the random ladders that appear out of nowhere. Other than that and a few interface problems, I've enjoyed it.

@He11Kn1ght: they gave you an option to have No ladders or fixed ladders in the last update

I'm not sure why people dislike the random ladders so much. I read problems with units not auto attacking them, but they must have fixed it cause if you summon a squad near it, they'll just destroy it before anyone appears.

No ladders makes the game way too easy as all I need to do is drop a few traps or concentrate a force in one spot. I don't have much experience with fixed ladders, it seemed harder than random ladders as I've always been able to just destroy all the ladders before anyone appeared.

Game is fun.

My only request so far is for a camera reset button. But then the only time the camera gets into an annoying position is done by Oscar, who is portrayed as an annoying prat, so I just put it down to him being annoying with my camera and get on with rooting for Baal to finally eat his boss.
I am liking the game so far, being new to the genre it was worth it.

hmm well I very much enjoy the game I love watching the minions working in the diffirent sectiion and the battles is less of a pain then in DK2. though it can be repentive I do not mind if it get too much I stop for a while and play a nother.
abut the latters I have never had a problem with them my minions on patrol takes good care of them. On the odd case I miss one my traps is a great help :)
