Virus warning
As I was downloading the game from Steam, I got a warning about the file ShippingPC-ChopGame.exe contanting the virus or unwanted program 'TR/Crypt.EPACK.Gen2'

The antivirus program blocked it and informed me about it.

So, what gives InXile Entertainment?

Ever heard of false positives due to crappy anti-virus programs?

Yeah...

Crappy? I use Anitvir for over a decade. It's far from crappy.

Yes I have heard of false positives, I have also heard of games being released with a virus attached to them.

Definitely a false positive. I installed yesterday and had no issues with my AV.

I use Kasperksky Anti-Virus, no issues here either.

Must be a false positive.

The issue has gone away.

I use Trend Micro, no problems during installing.

You aren't going to get a virus by downloading a game through Steam.

There is absolutely no virus of any kind in any download provided by steam and as mentioned it's a false positive.

If you're using AntiVir, they have a page where you can submit false positives to they can refine their algorithms. That's what you should do.

Choplifter HD is most definitely not a virus, nor does it come packaged with any even remotely harmful software. Sounds like a false positive to me. :)

For the record, I run ESET and have zero problems.

idk just the name "choplifter" sounds pretty shady, like it would "lift" a virus and then "chop" it into your PC.
