maybe you could put your steam library on an external and then launch it from another PC ?

that is not a bad suggestion, ty. but it shouldn't have to come to that, of course. never did find a proper answer to this, fyi.

but i seem to remember looking in the various usual (and some unusual) places to find a file or something that was saving the progress and wasn't finding anything. so, even a copy of my entire steam library might not contain a copy of the save data.

Hello, Snappy, sorry for taking so long to respond, but I bought this game only a few days ago.

The save file you are looking for can be found under Windows folder yourusername\Documents\My Games\UnrealEngine3\ChopGame\SaveData.

It's a file with a strange name starting with 0x and a sequence of numbers and letters. Juts put this file under the same folder on the destination machine.

It's not related to your question, but you can set a lot of video options not configurable anywhere else if you take a look at file "ChopEngine.ini" under folder yourusername\Documents\My Games\UnrealEngine3\ChopGame\Config. Open the file and search for "[SystemSettings]".

Half a year later post, I know. But if you want a tool that can back up ALL (if not most!) of your gamesaves, google search for "Gamesave Manager". It's free and works great.
