OMD 3 with 3 or 4 players co-op :)

But when you start talking 3 and 4 players it gets impossible for a single player - which is where OMD started and a major complaint about OMD2 - that it was too hard for SP even as designed for only *two* players.

Really? People are complaining that Single Player is hard at two players? How do you play Single Player with two players?

The difficulty could easily be adjusted. I understand that the waves of enemies can be adjusted in OMD2, using Steam Workshop mods. If we could combine that with Paul's suggestion (level editor), then users could create simpler levels for other users who are finding the game to be too challenging.

In my personal opinion, OMD2's Single Player story mode was magnificently handled regarding the challenge level. The War Mage difficulty kept me on my toes as I was learning how to use various items, and often using non-upgraded versions of items. Later, the step up from War Mage to nightmare was very noticeable (starting at Level 2, the Tunnels), and very fun.

Then again, I was using the superior character (the sorceress). I may have had a different experience if I started out as the War Mage character.

My only hope for OMD3's difficulty is that it be as successfully implemented as OMD2's. No complaints coming from my direction.

The main complaint I remember is that OMD2 levels were made too much for co-op. People didn't enjoy it single player as much because it was a lot harder to do. I don't think 3 or 4 player coop should be as much of a priority as a level editor should.

2 player co-op is fine I think. It's easier to plan with two people.

A level editor would be amazing. I'm sure the community could make up some really evil endless maps.

What they really need is the ability to save regularly mid-game, especially in multiplayer. That way if you crash, or d/c, you don't lose all of your progress. That's the only problem I've had with OMD2.

I been playing it singleplayer so far. I have to say I don't really like the level layouts, although difficulty isn't a problem so far. They just seem too focused on coop play ruining it for singleplayer playthroughs.

In my experience most single-players do fine up to Crunch - which is the largest map to that point and and the first with 4 doors.

After that, Corridors is easily solo-able if you're good vs. flyers but Mirror Image - 4 doors plus sneaky Trolls - is very hard to solo, even on War Mage difficulty.

Single player in OMD2 was more than fine, im some instances its easier to solo as you can adjust traps and place them wherever you want without having to cordinate a dumb freind

OMD3 would be great, i think two player coop is ok for me, but there should be a way to join (random) people. And of course an Level Editor. And maybe a Sandbox mode, there you can test some tactics.

And i must say, i never really had a Problem playing OMD2 Solo (as the Guy), just finished it today on Nightmare solo. If you have some tactics, it's really easy. But i think it could be harder as the Women, because she don't have the Tar Trap.
