Simply crashes and says "Cities Xl has stopped working" many people have this problem, Ive looked on every forum their is. and havent found one fix yet. Im getting pissed off. I tried everything!

Dont tell me to update my drivers or update everything. Everything is up to date.

Dont tell me to delete some files that may be the problem. Ive tried

Dont tell me to disable it in Anti-virus. This doesnt work

Dont tell me to Check local files. Ive done so, Still doesnt work

Dont tell me to re-install. Ive tried

Dont tell me to restart my computer. Ive tried.

Dont tell me to run as an admin. THIS DOESNT WORK


Ive legit tried eveything that support staff has told me to do on Cities XL.. NOTHING WORKS..


What the hell is this problem!!!!!!!!!



THE FIX:

Go into your C drive and delete your Cities XL folder. first un-install it from steam. Re-download it and its then fixed.

I found the problem. Go into your C drive and delete your Cities XL folder. first un-install it from steam. Re-download it and its then fixed.

normally try verify game cache

if that dont work and you dont have any cities you want to hold on to

delete

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Focus Home Interactive\Cities XL 2012

if that dont work

open the last log file in

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Focus Home Interactive\Cities XL 2012\logs

and post the very last error

This worked for me and I think I had this problem before and it worked then too.

Yes, But this is now A fix thread for the issue. It took me awhile, as in a couple months to try and find a fix until I finally started to mess around with things myself. I noticed when I uninstalled it from staem it did NOT completley uninstall the folders in my computer. So i went back and made sure everyfile was gone. I then redownloaded it and it worked 100% perfect. I think that it has to do with some sort of overloading mods into your game or a simple bug they dont want to waste time fixing.

some mods are outdated and some are poorly written

i avoid mods other than just like buildings without any changes to game logic.
