New patch: Eyefinity works now
almost 6 months after release .... AMD Eyefinity now has PROPER support.

Code"masters" have fixed the FOV when playing in surround gaming mode (in fullscreen mode). Windowed mode @Eyefinity always worked with proper FOV but disabled Crossfire, stretched the HUD and drawn a window frame around the game itself..

Thank you Code.."masters" for working so hard on it... /sarcasm

sooo, you wanna tell us where we can get the patch.
I am running a 5x1 (5x27inch) portrait setup and i cant even get this game to start on my eyefinity. And on my laptop the framerate drops to dismal proportions unless i put everything on low and even then it will still drop after a while. laptop is MSI gt780dxr with upgraded ram.

This is interesting. I have been running the game in 5760x1080 mode (three monitors on AMD eyefinity) since I got the game many months ago. It's always run well with my setup and I haven't noticed any difference recently but I believe I understand what you're saying about the HUD...

If you aren't already aware of it, the Widescreen Gaming Forum at wsgf.com has great info on many games and confirms the issues you have raised.

@skeletorsminion
The patch came directly through Steam.

And Widescreen Gaming Forum pretty much either never really mentioned it or didn't notice it until I brought some attention when they started a "DiRT Showdown Wallpaper" contest.

To participate the contest you have had to create an unique DiRT Showdown wallpaper in eyefinity style. I told them that it's extremely ironic to run such contest for a game, that does not even properly support Eyefinity. And there hasn't been a fix for it neither.

The low FOV made driving much harder, corners were hard to estimate, enemy vehicles in the derby were actually easier to see on a single monitor.
The crazy thing, eyefinity (3x1) worked flawless in the DEMO.

I don't know about 5x1 though. :o
DiRT Showdown is a downgrade in pretty much every possible way.

I'm playing 5x1 eyefinity without any issues. Tri-Fire r7970 Lighning Gigabit editions. It would crash one an a while so I lowered settings for water.

Start by re-installing CCC with 13.2 Beta, make sure you re-boot several times use driver cleaner get rid of all AMD stuff from the registery. If your having trouble with crossfire, or tri-Fire in my case disable it. For me the game never crashes with Crossfire disabled, but with Tri-Fire i get like 3 races before a crash. Right now any overclocking with crossfire enabled makes things very unstable as well drop your overclock to like 1150 gpu and 1400 mem. Put your power up a 20%+. Getting games to work 5x1 is tough you have to do a lot of work but its worth it, blows away the skinny 3x1 landscape setups.
