well, i just read some other dissucions and the problem seems to be mircosoft being dickweeds to the pc platform, so yay, i dout that they will do any thing about this, i mean these are the same people who forced a crap system like games for windows live on to everything, so i guess mircosoft is still living in there buble thinking that GFWL and the xbone are good ideas, ****ing mircosoft.

You have to run it in windows XP compatibility, it doesn't seem to work on windows 7 or 8.
1. Go to \SteamApps\common\Serious Sam The Random Encounter
2. Right click on sstre.exe (or just sstre, the one with the icon)
3. Go to Properties, then Compatibility.
4. Check the box for "Run this program in compatibility for:"
5. Select "Windows XP (service pack 3)"
6. Press OK

It should run without errors, in fullscreen.

You're just adorable.
Microsoft have absolutely no say in the production of SS:TRE. Neither does Valve. This game is sole property of Vlambeer. You might as well complain to Santa when your father doesn't get you the bike you wanted for Christmas.

If you're going to rage impotently, at least try to understand who is deserving of that rage.

Yes, Vlambeer stuck their dîck in the cake and don't seem to have any intention of fixing the problem they said would take only "two weeks tops" to fix (over a year ago), but don't go fighting a war you clearly know nothing about.
