Sirokos
well was wondering what type of missiles are compatible with the sirokos?
i know that ship is for boarding purposes but i saw on tube of the you that it also can use normal missiles and can it shoot of hornets ^^

The Sirokos is only capable of firing Boarding Pods due to specializing in boarding. It is also able to hold 30 marines to the usual 20 marines for other capital ships.

You can use any of the M7Ms to capture the Aran

You have to jump out of your ship then fire the repair laser at it to make it hostile, its a bug that never got fixed. Then you can use the piracy options for your M7M to board it. It wont have very much hull so make sure you dont have anything around that will fire at it.

You can set up the Sirokos for missile defense by equipping it with Mosquitos. Since mosquitos are cheap you can also barrage them to help keep enemy shields down without destroying the ship.

Just be aware that mosquitos have painfully short range.

WOOHOOO after 3 days busting my cahonas off i finaly managed to board a Aren, problme is that thing goes only 2m/s even with seta that going to takes forever to get to a shipyard bc i started out edge of M148 :/

Update:
DAMMED stupid argon ship hit me and went poof

If you eject a SETA from any of your ships and then pick up it with your space suit, you can then hold Bore Fire and SETA at the same time to repair your larger ships for free for up to two game hours at a time before needing more O2 in your suit in which you will also need another SETA to eject.

well mananged to get the aren to a shipyard, the repair bill was 150m and cargo expantion was 50 mill not to mention buying the shields for it .... i think i allready lost 200m on those 3 things and now i need at least 1 m7 2-3 m6 and the rest heavy fighter i need to buy and equip .... thats going to be a verry verry expensive bill ....

but that has to wait i still doing my HQ plot and getthing those 75 ore is a pain in the rectum ^^

The Aran's great for pirating, as you can dock captured M6/TL/TS's internally. I usually set up a jump beacon in asteroid belt and raid the trade convoys heading to Jupiter.
i have looked all over the x-universe but cant find jump becons will they become avaible latter in the game

The rapid response ships have a low chance of having one. You have to board the ship to get it. Used to be able to just blow them up and they would drop, haven't seen that happen in a long time though.

In TC you could just destroy the ship and it might have dropped a jump beacon (if it carried one before only ofc).
In AP you have to board them, which is a hassle by itself since they tend to jump away when damaged, but the chance of finding one in the first place is nearly non existant, even while mass destroying RRF ships.
There was a script that scanned every ship in the universe for one but i dont't know if that still works.

Best advise i can give to aquiring them is when you recieve a War Message of an Attack on Jupiter. Go there immediatly. There should be one Odin and one Woden which have no escort ships and often minimal hull damage. These are script created for that event and always carry jump beacons.
