How is the PvE?
I am looking for nice MMO with good PvE to play Solo. I am not planning on getting very deep into the game or something but I want to have fun killing Mobs and doing Quests. Should I consider this one or if not: is there any other F2P MMO on Steam that could suit my needs. I dont have anything against grinding if the fighting is fun.

Thx in advance.

The PVE is nice and solid. Plenty of different classes with a lot of customization for each. I am on Crushbone playing an SK named Cripstar. Hit me up

Thx for the info but I dont care about Pv[P] at all I was talking about PvE (Player vs. Environment). I decided to download TERA now which will be F2P fairly soon. If I dont like it I can still try this one or maybe RIFT which seems to have good PvE Content aswell.

Was a mistype....PVE not PVP. I dont play on the PVP servers either.

I have given Tera about 10 tries since beta and I still cannot stick with it. The combat is cool but meh I dont know....

Join this game, we play on Antonia Bayle server, its great fun, lots of solo content, and great group content.

Most XP comes from mob grind, quests are more for gear, but you can do both at same time, and each class excells at soloing if played correctly.

I am not one for Solo MMOs, specially since I came from EQ1 pre POP, but this game has enough content to satisfy anyone.

Not only that but the Mercs make this game a lot of fun and the community is awesome.

are you kidding me? 40$ necessary p2w expansion(including mercs, important AA page, reforging...) and 40$ to play the up to date content. The mercs are a really useless add to the game, I don't even get why they made investments to develop them hence it doesn't bring anything productive for the players, especially the veterans.

LOL dude are you stupid? P2W? they offer the first 7 expacs Free of charge and you ♥♥♥♥♥ about paying for the others? and the mercs that dont offer anything beneficial and yet you come up with this opinion because you own the expacs and you have Actually used them? The same mercs that have been on the still popular EQ1 for quite some time...... stop trying to troll and move on and play your browser based games or go play WoW and see how well you make it without paying to win there as well.....LOL

bad luck for you I have played wow a lot and I'm satisfied with its costs and his contents(have myself all the expansions). It's just not worthy to pay those 80$ atm for a game THAT old and that poorly updated. Please go ahead and see how WoW evolves each years, it's far more than EQ does, sadly. Start washing your eyes pal.

WoW is a whole month younger than this game....and you dont need the final Expac until you are level 90. As for evolving...I have been on WoW since it was in 2nd stage of Closed beta and yes it has evolved. They have dumbed down the Talent trees to 5 points, They have pretty much gotten rid of the need of Guilds unless you are a hardcore raider/pvper, they gimp the game everytime a new PVP set comes out, they nerf classes on PVE for PVP fixes, oh and I forgot its still not F2P. If you want to get it and get all the way to the latest content the Battle Chest is 19.99, then you have to get Cataclysm which is 19.99 and then you need Mists which is 39.99. So it is still 80 bucks but if you want to play a Monk class you have to pay 80 up front. Where on EQ2 it requires absolutely no payment up front unless you want to use Mercs. And I figured you for a WoW fanboy from the start after looking at your Gaming profile. but like I said before before you come here Trolling at least get some time on it.

Ok about the skill trees the changes has been made actually for the raiders, because everybody was on ejerk taking the best builds and rotations anyway. With the new system you can customise with more ease between raid fights if needed + yes it's very noob friendly. But yes I love wow and I understood the logic beyond changes and additions and it helped me loving it even more. But it has nothing to do with the prices of EQ2, those are horribles hence these don't scale at all with the actual video game market.

Again....you put your foot in your mouth saying you love WoW and their p2p only format yet you criticize EQ2 and their F2P w/ P2P options. Which btw EQ2 has been doing pretty much the same as Lotro, DDO, STO, SWTOR, and quite a few other F2P w/ a P2P subscription option. There are Very few mmos out there that are Truly F2P.

As for the Talent trees for Raiders.....if that is true then why did they lose a bulk of their Raider base players when Mists came out after people threatened to leave on the PTR forums? WoW lost more of its player base after MOP released because people didnt like what they did than most mmos can claim to even have people playing.

I don't really mind about p2p because I'm in the category who has money and play for the challenge so I buy my games and avoid the p2w ones. About WoW, I made my own opinion about MoP, stayed only 2-3monthes in MoP because of the lack of compatible players to raid with but not because of the actual game(started and left few monthes beofre the 2nd raid set). I don't find any objective and real reason to say that mop is a blunder, I find it pretty amazing, for several reasons. The first one is about the chinese things they took and put in it, the atmosphere of the expansion is really relaxed, the message behind the storyline is very peacefull and full of good intentions, each expansions had its own inherent atmosphere, loved almost all except maybe less wotlk. Gameplay wise MoP is also a true success imho, the solo and low end content is for anyone but raiding stuff is in the continuity of the previous contents and encounters I did(almost everything in non freewin matchmaking raid) were new, well designed and challenging even for experienced raiders(at least the first weeks, not freewin)

And about the other topic I was in a really gentle guild with lots of materials in the bank so with 2 mates around lvl30 we made a rush order challenge and it lasted pretty long but was loads of fun anyway.(Maybe the best moment I had on EQ2 lol)

I wrote this stuff recently on EQ2 forum, like you see I have really no hate for the game hence I want to go on it. But for ♥♥♥♥ sake, somebody has to ring the bell about that marketing strategy, else I'll probably buy it at the actual cost anyway. ^^ First time I see a game that makes me rage about its cost.

Thanks for taking all of this off topic...

I don't know about the content of this game but I'm going to try it one more time, we will see what happens hopefully for the better.
