not loading

I click the play button on steam and all that happens is a small black screen comes up and sits there. Anyone else getting this?

I ran the verify cache and it said I had over 700 files not working and its reinstalling those files now

Ok, having the same issue too... will try verify cache and see if that fixes things.

if 3 of us so far are getting the same thing I dont know if fixing the cache will help. Its worth a try tho.

Just looked at Twitter: https://twitter.com/everquestii seems they're having issues on all their services. Also just to warn people, checking the cache seems to have forced a 6GB download, looks like it's redownloading everything!

When you say all theire services what exactly does that mean? All the games or everything thats EQ2 related? Does it work after the download?

Take 2 seconds and look for yourself on twitter...

After the download the launcher pops up but it still goes black. I think because it's trying to connect to the EQ2 servers and it's not working. I guess we're stuck waiting until they fix their servers.

they were under attack or DDOS so just have to wait til it cool down. Not sure when this will go back up.

The black screen is the launchpad...I have been having the same thing. It started when I was in the game and suddenly couldn't interact with anything. Hopefully the problem will clear up soon
