so me and friend are wanting to play this game my friend originally played when it first came out and enjoyed it but hes hesitant to go back upon reading that ability levels are locked and what not w/o sub both of us are poor real life ♥♥♥♥ comes first it happens is the game playabl enough to enjoy as free or is sub like a guarenteed must have thing or you wont ever get anywhere or enjoy the game?

there's quite a lot to enjoy in the game even for free, but yes you wont be able to do everything. I think for many people it comes down to population. most of the games population is on the time locked servers which are subscription only. but if you just want to group with friends you already know then that's not really an issue. (and most of the game playable for free is soloable)

There is plenty to do with a free account, if you can handle a few aggrevating set backs.
