Doesn't work on Windows 8

Like so many other titles, doesn't work on Windows 8. On my machine, at least. Gets a Crash To Desktop with no errors just after the final splash screen. I don't know who to hate most, this game or Microsoft.

1. Edit the C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Magic The Gathering Tactics\preferences.dat

2. Change 'use deferred rendering = true' to 'use deferred rendering = false'

Reload. Should work perfectly. It did for me. :)

Works fine for me on Windows 8 other than an Internet Connection issue about 20 minutes into the game play that boots me from the game with all progress lost.
