I'm having exactly the same problem on Ubuntu. I can only play Cave Story+ in Windows 7.

The Linux version downloadev via Steam is misisng the executable and the lib directory. Not sure if the directory is needed, but it's included in the HIB version. If you've got the Linux executable from somewhere else, or can acquire it somehow, you can play and get your time logged and stuff, but achievements and stuff like that won't work

Same here on Mint 13 32 bit.

same here I dont think the executable is included for any version of Linux. This is very poor, so far as I have seen all Linux users have had this issue since day one of it becoming available on steam. you would of thought adding the few missing files to the DLC would take no time at all.

it isn't actually released on linux check the store page. it like this for a lot of the humble indie bundle games that haven't been ported/released yet.

True but it is very confusing to users when the Store page has the community Hub button and in Library page has an install button (and Community Hub button) which for the most part does actually install some content. this is the only game on steam that I am aware of that does this. if you take a look at other games (Linux or otherwise) where it has a Community Hub button on the store page it has the same button in the Library page.

it just looks like someone got half way through setting up release on steam then decided no and forgot to rollback the initial changes made

(BTW when I look at the Library page I'm viewing in Detail view plus example game for linux user to check is Braid)

I guess game devs either don't check these forums or don't care about the people who paid for their games. If they don't plan on uploading the Linux binary to Steam, they could at least post a reply here to let us know.

I see no indication that it is anything other than the closed beta to integrate Steam features it appears to be.They *could* release the version of the executable that isn't integrated, but officially doing that would be just as bad as not in some people's opinions

The devs should at least let us know what's going on.

Same bug here. At least I know I'm not the only one. Thanks for echoing my frustration everyone. I hope someone notices and fixes it soon.
