I'm doing my first playthough and since I always choose hard mode in every game I play because I want challenge, I chose it here as well.
It was much harder than I expected, but I'm on the second core now, and I've gotten him down to half health with misery and sue defeated, so I feel like I'm very close.
Can't go to hell because it's my first playthrough and I jumped down to booster to help him.
The machine gun is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ based, with it I could beat core in under an hour

Eh, look a little more closely, it was made in the same hour.
Also, I got squashed by a block while running back to the heli, so I have to do it again...

Edit: I got squashed 3 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ times already, this is getting really annoying.
Although, once you've beaten him once, you can beat him fairly reliably.

Yeah I got squashed a good 5 times before I beat it, but the way to do it is to go inside the little room that leads to Hell, save, then observe the bookshelf, and it'll send you back to right after you killed the core, giving you unlimited tries to dodge the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ blocks.

I have no idea what room you're talking about, I do know that I'm not getting the best ending though.
It's 4 times now ;_;

You just said you've beaten HM but you lack the cheevo, weird.

Also, like I said multiple times already, I keep getting crushed by the falling blocks.
Also, I left the game idle for a many hours.
Also, having to devise a strategy for 1HKO boss battles without having fought the boss before takes a while.

Edit: Ah, there it is. Fifth time's a charm I guess. To finally answer OP's question, I beat the game, got the normal ending because it's my first PT.
I'll probably beat it on hard with best ending some day, although I'll probably do a victory lap on normal first.

Now I can beat Sacred Ground with 3HP, Polar Star, Fireball, and Blade only.
