Try focusing on Blood Hunger, Executioner, and Frenzy Mastery these will allow you to heal on critical hits (Bloody Hunger) and Executioner and Frenzy master will allow you to frenzy faster and for longer (While under frenzy you automatically critical with all melee attacks) This should help boost your HP regeneration in combat making it easier to stay alive.

my berskers is in Act 3 veteran I think and I have like 7 deaths and early it felt like a lot more. Act 2 seems to really be a test in veteran, like Act 1 is just Normal+. Then it's like ouchhh....But I never stayed still, I use Shadow teleport a lot early. It says you cannot be hit while in that form. Good for avoiding trolls. So yeah, say 5 in those that D Raven says by Act 3 or sooner and think about Shred Armor and Battle Standard. Most passives can have a few points and help. But berserker is so variable because of the charge, find some charge % faster gear, I have like 20% and it really helps keep the rush going.

Suck ? Probably not. The question you should be asking is "Is Beserker my playing style?" If the answer to that is no. Then easy solution don't play it. If the answer is yes. Perhaps do some reading up on it, make sure you don't spread your active skills too much that rely on weapon damage and elemental damage, is my recommendation, because that will spread your stat points out too much. You also don't need that much dex for a Besersker. The only dex you need is when you have the dodge you want, if you care about the dodge. The crit in Dex you don't need especially if you keep your charge bar full a lot of the time. That takes care of the dex stat. So you just need to decide on two things which are dependent:
1) Weapon damage or dps VS elemental damage or weapon damage/dps as elemental damage
2) Str/Vit with some dex thrown in VS Foc/Vit with some dex thrown in.
But honestly, I think mixing active skills that rely on str and focus, is not a good idea, it's doable, yes, but has to be done right, and requires a lot more planning.

Berserker really sucks defensively, the only thing you can rely on is gear, hit points, dodge, damage reduction, stats that are rare early game. Make sure to get shred armor, and ice shield, those are our best defensive skills, battle standard is also pretty good. Aside from that, for a 'serker the best defense is OFFENSE: get GOOD weapons, enchant them with +damage, that's a good start. If you one shot everything then its much easier to stay alive.

Though there will still always be things that can kill you in the blink of an eye that's just the way the game is. Be alert, identify the monsters and their abilities, KNOW what is killing you so you can evade and react.

thank you every body for the advice :3

Definitely keep at it, later game in Act 3 mine is really cleaning up like bosses that took my normal guys a long time, this guy is taking down in a minute or two If you are clawing, really try to get that DPS up and find the socketer to make sure you are buffed. And get your pet some summons, really makes a nice party for the slaugher if you have a wolf to throw in too. So far this guy is my favorite of the classes for fun challenge. At least it doesn't feel fuitle like my embermage does sometimes.

I do the shadow berserker, with the shadow dash you heal yourself, so I never die. I just use a huge amount of mana potions to keep my health up.

Ok so I have a question on putting certain skill points on teh beserker(my first class just started). Do I put emphasis on points for 1 skill and go for passives or should I get multiple skills?
Faam Nov 24, 2012 @ 8:20am
I think that class 2 easy, just rush :D

One strategy i found is getting a decent fast weapon with +Mana on hit. Then level up the abilitiy (forgot the name, the one where you dash and get health and do electrocute damage) Spam it, hit a few times spam it some more. Really helps in tough situations i found. Recently left this strategy for a more complicated one. But will fall back onto it with sticky situations and mana potions.
