yep, because the game saves ur files on the pc like almost every sec (or atleast i have the filling it does that)
so even after the game crashes and u get the question to use steam cloud or local files... just go with the local files (i lost 19 lvls when that happened to me but since i use the local files i dont lose my lvls anymore ;) )
AMEN i swear to God pc gaming has taken a dive.. do you want them to send a player to play it for you?
Directions: hit escape click save button if your having issue's then choose local files if prompted.
And as far as steam cloud i got nailed by a very nasty virus that shut down my firewall windows updates and several other system files were corrupted..it patched my services.exe i had to format and was side tracked didnt back up my files.. so i guess thats THANKS steam cloud because everything was there for all my games.
I think they need to make a point to put actual time stamps on the saves for loading from cloud or locally though, this definitely isn't the first case where both dates are marked as "today" or both are "yesterday" without being any more specific.
the prompt is very clear. it tells you which save data is older and which is newer. so obviously you want to click the newer one 90% of the time, unless you broke something in your local data and want to restore to an older state - in which case you'll thank Steam Cloud for being there.
people please learn to read stuff before clicking.
I'm not asking you to read Facebook's EULA (which you should btw, because there are some very interesting ways to screw you over there) - just a short prompt.
