Consoling consequences?
Just have some questions about the console.

1. How does the ''cheaters flag'' look like? Since I've seen several people walk around with caution signs on their character saying, "You may have some problems when playing with this character" or something like that.

2. When using the console, does difficulty changing or ascending and descending through dungeons give you the cheaters flag?

3. Can you trade a item that was spawned via console?

4. Does the console interfere with any installed mods?

5. Does the cheaters flag affect other characters that were legit?

I think the sign saying you may have problems playing with them is because one of you has Strict NAT.

the NAT sign has nothing to do with cheating. The cheaters will be marked by a red ! when they join

1. Never said I was going to ''cheat'', so think before you make idiotic assumptions. This is for modding purposes only. If you feel the need to hate, then keep it to yourself. Thank you.

1. Looks like a red (!)
2. Using any commands on the console will give you cheater's flag
3. Yes (Hence why this game has no trade value, as it's moddable, if you want trade value, play D3)
4. Depends on the mod. Mods are not properly released yet.
5. No

Not all, as to what exactly does and does not flag you, there isn't a specific list yet.

Please give me at least 1 command on the console that doesn't mark you as a cheater. I've not seen any yet.

If I was a modder or cared to use the console for non-legit purposes, I would know!

"WARNING! When playing online, modified versions of Torchlight 2 will be marked with a “suspicious player” flag. Not all commands will mark your game as modified. Many of these commands are untested, so try them at your own risk."

Also as a comment in the same page:

"@Poolboy87,

Thanks for letting us now, I replaced “My Games” with “My Doc-uments” and left a note that the files may be found under one of these files.

As far flagging, right now we’re unsure exactly what will cause your account to be flagged, or if it can be undone. From what I’ve read, susp-icion checks are done server side, comparing your level and gear with the last time you logged into the online server. Therefore, just keeping and replacing the settings.txt may not be able to revert a susp-icious activity flag.

From the new information, the cheat-checking system will not ban you from playing with other players, but it will show a susp-icion flag (a red exclamation point) next to your character name, but only to other players on the server. If you want to play with friends, this won’t alter your online experience at all, and the system will take no automatic actions against you. The flag is not permanent, but we don’t know exactly what will / won’t add or remove a flag just yet.

Not exactly the best answer, but hopefully that helps you when deciding whether or not to use the Developer Console."

Same goes for the first one, not all console commands will flag you as a cheat. It's not permanent as it's character-based only and no problems will happen server-side, but if it's anything like the first one, all items in your shared stash will be deleted from the use of it.
