No manual?
So, where can I get an explanation of the UI and how it works or get some help with game mechanics? Can't find a manual or any help option in game.

There doesn't seem to be any kind of manual available.

The game has tips that pop up along the way to explain a lot of it though, and the basics of playing this game are pretty much the same as any other ARPG like Torchlight 1, Diablo 1, 2 & 3, Titan Quest, Fate, Path of Exile, etc. So for most people there isn't too much new stuff to learn.

I've played all those games but Path of Exile. I wanted to know what the second spell icon on the bottom bar was and how to use it. Eventually I found out after reading through the keybinds and then later on I found an icon (A tiny one) on the bottom bar that gives you help regarding the UI.

I'd like a manual as well. Couldn't find one either. I checked all the game files, nothing online either. I guess I'm just old. Games always came with manuals (I started gaming in 1987) up until recently. Now it's hit or miss.

+1 for the manual.

from what I've notice is its like a switch spell for you mouse buttons. Check the control options and you can figure out many of this. You can also customize the controls to how you like them. So Have at it. and really a manual? people acually read thoese things?

Not so much on PC, since nowadays I get most stuff digital but for my handhelds (a DS/3DS) I make a note of always going through the manual before starting the game/during the first few hours of it.

Any between the ability bound to the 0 key (town portal by default) and your right click ability, just to the left of your manaorb, is a tiny little question mark. That should explain everything in the UI for you.

Steam version of Torchlight 1 had a 57 page Manual so one would have expected one with this game.

Glad someone else asked the question. I bought the boxed edition of Torchlight 1 and enjoyed the manual. The subtle changes in T2 I've been able to figure out, but I still would have preferred a manual. I guess I'm old-school, but I still enjoy spending an hour or so pouring over the how tos... At the very least it would have been nice to get an idea of which stat points benefit which character class, to get the build correct from the start.

Kinda like how you can change weapon sets, except it's for any two abilities you can choose to switch around. Hit Tab.

Tab switches between those two spells. I guess you didn't play Torchlight?

What do you need a manual for? Point and click then things die and loot falls like rain.
