Hardcore players

I'm looking for people to play Hardcore characters with on Elite difficulty from level 1. Reply to this post if you're game!

For people who are thinking about playing Hardcore, I definitely recommend it. It makes every new enemy and location quite interesting because you have to assess them carefully to see how dangerous they are. And instead of feeling like you're playing for loot, it feels more like you're playing to explore the world or see how long you can survive. Give it a try.

if it's your first time playing Hardcore, AND you want to play online, I suggest you start from Normal or maybe even Casual.
damage-spikes are plentiful in this game. especially from traps. and I assume you already know of our good friend the Death-Lag.

I did most of my successful HC Elite run single-player, after losing many good HC chars to the above fun-breakers.

Nah, Elite is the perfect difficulty for me. Anything lower and I don't think it'd be challenging enough.

man you played something like 10 hours of TL2. that's barely Act1 and half of Act2.
you didn't get to the real ass-kicking in your non-HC game yet. and I doubt you understand most of the game mechanics.

imagine running through Elite without dying even once.
traps, bosses, overpowered monster spells, rush-mobs...
THAT'S what HC Elite takes. it's like 2x harder than "normal" Elite, which is seriously tough as is.

you can try ofcourse, but don't say I didn't warn you if you die somewhere in act1. even on Single Player.
you need to be seriously good at this game to have fun in HC Elite, and think about completing NG.

For me, the point of playing on hardcore is it makes every discovery of a new enemy or area much more exciting. I'm wondering "what is this? Is it gonna kill me?!" If I've already played the game once, I don't get that.

And Igor, I don't expect to beat the game. But it's still fun.

Just know that the act 1 boss can already one-shot you easily. Without shared stash or knowledge of the game you'll be stuck in early game forever, while mid game and late game are way more fun!

Jeffrobot I'm game for this add me on steam be aware however I do have a fairly busy life so it will be a weekday only thing for me also I have time commitments on the weekdays aswell so it will be random when/how long i can play.

see? that's why I said you need to complete the game (NG) on a certain difficulty and learn most of the game mechanics, before attempting a Hardcore run through that difficulty.

running blind HC may be fun at first, but then you lose your 100th character to a 1-shot by a boss you first met, a monster spell you didn't gear-up to resist, or a trap you didn't know was there ======> and THIS happens:
