How to protect me against cheaters in multiplayer/coop, how a cheater flag looks?

I bought torchlight 2 a few days ago, i really played it for 100 hour fair, no cheats, that is the fun part of the game , playing it fair, beeing happy for finding a unique item.
After level 100 i joined some multiplayer matches.

Questions are:
1. How does a cheater flag looks like? i don t know if a player is a cheater, i didn seen no flags, just some dots.
2. If i traded stuf with a cheater am i having also cheater flag?

ok nice i understand, is just i was a bit scared i don t know how a cheater flag looks.
but anyway it matters i know i don t cheat, and all i traded until now was looking as usualy.

now i hope that trading with consoles users don t flag me as cheater.
if so , then i really would like a picture with a cheater s flag so i never trade with them.

Im out of touch these days i remember the days when we slowly progress and had real adventure instead rush to end and then go to forums saying all kinds of trange and unbelieveble storys:P

see the problem is, real cheaters don't have the console flag - because there are lots of tools to remove it.

you can always click on someone's picture and "inspect" to see his stats and equipped gear. the flag - if there is one - will be there also. a red (!).
and console-spawned gear he wears will have a big, red "CHEATED ITEM" in the description.

if it's there, it means he used console for something and usually isn't afraid to admit it, like @Willypop described.
if it's not there, but his stats are at impossible levels, and the gear doesn't grant the attribute bonuses for that - you got yourself a real cheater. a very rare and endangered species :)

I bought torchlight 2 on 15th december and until now 29th december i have 100 hours, so that means i played it 7 hours a day.
I have no job, so i have alot alot of free time.
In this time i played first game on normal dificulty engineer in 40 hours, going to all the places, i checked every corner.
The rest of the time was for new game+ on veteran, now i am at new game + 3 on elite.
I did not rushed, i did not exploited secondary quests.
I am not bored of my engineer , and if i will be a bit bored i can always go and take my level 3 outlander for a ride.

The game is so fun that time goes so fast, i thought i played this game for few days and it seems i have it since 2 weeks ago
