save file gone, help pls

So here's the problem. i was playing torchlight when my pc froze, i needed to restart my pc before i could do anything. now it seems like my lvl75 outlander save file is gone. Is there a way to get it back?

i had the same problem. 4 mid level characters and my computer blue screened after a boss. all my save files are in the folder but my game doesnt recognize them. tried with a different computer too but with no luck

Unless you have a local backup i.e. not steam cloud, you could be out of luck. I had it happen after a BSOD, lucky it was my first or second character. Now I run a batch file after every session that backs up my saves and progress. If you do work it out, please let me know.

ah crap. im sol then. put in 18 hours in 2 days during my sickness and then the fun train just crashes. my head hurts.
