Although if your looking for a more Torchlight-ish game, with a space theme i cant really suggest anything else, maybe if you liked strategy you could try Starcraft, which is like command and conquer but more futuristic.
Or if you like more of a action space theme game, try Space Marine. Its a 40k warhammer game, where you actually play as a space marine. Its fairly enjoyable with hints of difficulty. The only game i can think to hand in which i can compare,is gears of war. If your familiar.
But those are 3 space type games i can think of. I hope it helped. Please let me know if i was helpfull
Regards
Alexander
Grim dark future as it is. Pretty old and unpopular but still good in my opinion.
Likewise Sacred/Sacred 2. However, it's still pretty much like TL2: there's some pretty high "technology" but it is based around magic.
Darkspore space-ish/futuristic ARPG but I found it pretty limited (the maps are more like individual arenas rather than a connected world with dungeons). I don't even know if Darkspore is still around.
