are you playing on casual or normal?
I hope this thread isn't serious....
Oh so u feel like TL2 is easy? Start a hc character on elite then :D
Just in case you're serious, we need to know what difficulty level you have the game on. The starter area before the Enclave is designed to be "easy" so you can get your bearings and learn the game controls. Each area of the game gets progressively harder. If you have the difficulty on "Elite", then by the time you get to the Ice Caves, it will be frustrating unless you have a researched, min-maxed, optimized character. If you *still* need more danger for a thrill, try playing hardcore, such that when you die, it's game over.
Im playing on normal and yes I am seriouse :p Ive only been playing for 20 mins or so and ive tried making new characters, to see if it was just that load and I watched youtube videos of people playing the first chapter and it was only taking them three hits to kill a creature instead of just one :p
Im playing on normal

Thats the issue then but dont worry....the difficulty will pick up ^^
Play veteran if normal is too easy ;)
I actually am having kind of the same problem. Veteran difficulty is a little too tough for my tastes, but when I turn it down to normal, the monsters at the beginning are so weak they don't even do any damage. I think I'm going to start a normal game and try to stick it out for a while though, because I suspect it'll get to the right difficulty feel for me in late Act I or at least by Act II.
Okay, I just played a normal level engineer up to level 10. The normal level in the game is definitely a problem. The monsters are limited to 1-5 damage. I thought maybe the true "normal" difficulty would unlock at level 10, like in WoW, but, no.

Even worse, I got a rare item with a *very small* amount of physical damage reflection - 12 points per hit. At that point, I went up against that worm-like boss who throws poison up on you in one of the level 8-10 dungeons. I quite literally just stood there. I even put my cat on "passive". Seriously, we just stood there. The boss and all his skeleton summons just killed themselves. I could have gone to get a sandwich.

I think what I will have to do is to play veteran level, and just accept that I am going to occasionally die when I get surrounded by enemies, which is sometimes unavoidable for a tank character. I was getting frustrated when I had 3 deaths by late Act I, but that was much more exciting and fun than sitting around and watching the game play itself!

My advice to the OP would be to change to Veteran difficulty level, and prepare for a totally different game. Normal level pretty much puts the game on automatic pilot, and all you have to do is sit, watch the pretty colors and cartoons, and occasionally click your left mouse button. Or not - it will hardly make any difference *what* you do.

normal while laughably easy at first picks up the pace later on so enjoy the easy ride :)
go download syergies mod. play elite difficulty.
if u want easy or just make the achievements easier to get play casual/normal...u spend less on potions and easily can buy more stuff and gamble items and save money for socket and luck enchantments, which is important if u want to get more loot and farm skulls and gear
and those enchantments are a bit expensive...around 5k first enchant until 20k for third one if im not wrong...
I got a question...what does it mean "convey" ? its like a life leech or something?
"convey" 433 damage over 5 seconds...I still dont know what that does :P
