Have you played an ARPG like Diablo 2? It's like that.

does the coop work properly on this one, especially on the main campaign?

Hey guys. I would love to say TL2 is good back in the day, but the game is dead now :(. The online has usually less than 10 servers at most, and most servers are password closed anyways. The mods, while cool, will get boring fast due to their unfortunate lack of multiplayer. The era of TL2, seems to be over :( Really sad to see one of my favorite games die like this.

Co-op works great. I play LAN multiplayer with a friend. It works slot like the single player game, you each play through the quests separately. Loot is separate, which is nice. Good game, have over 100 hours in it and still playing.

TL2 never really caught on and is overshined by quite a few ARPGs atm.

D3, PoE, Grim Dawn to name a few. Heck I think at this point Marvel Heroes probably has similar or better numbers.

I never fully got into TL2, though I wanted to because there always seemed to be a better ARPG at the time, I think that is still the case. However if you're a big TL1 fan this may be your ARPG of choice.

I agree with you Dr. Luigi, but another things is I'm worried ARPGs in general have become stale. All the clicking that you have to do becomes quickly repetitive, and drop rates in these games are even worse :(.

If you want people to play with, telling others to avoid the game seems counterproductive.

just play SynergiesMod Only no other mods if you want to play Coop with mods and you'll see enough players/servers but most of them are on NG+ - NG+5. BTW thats the only bad part of Coop in this game. you cant join NG+ games if your character doesnt aquire the NG+ mode yet unless your friend or someone whill make a new character to play with you.
animeguy5647 Aug 21, 2016 @ 6:54pm
nah, I'm afraid not. pretty sure there's no one playing in the NG+ servers, at least on mods.

Game isn't dead. Has over 700 plays a day on average. Most people run closed games because playing with randoms and having the difficulty randomly jump is frustrating.

yeah, but thats the problem :(. in fact, it might be due to TL2s limit of 6 players per server.

Co-op is great, TL2 is one of the most polished and complete ARPG experiences in recent years. Very fun to choose a few fave mods with a friend and play through the campaign together. I've done so twice myself. Hardly ever see crashes or other problems. Loot is instanced so you don't even have to worry about who picks up what.

Well, i love this game, is any of u wants to play together, please add me as friends in steam! Do not let this game dies!!!

Grim Dawn has a more active community I would get that game first imo.

Action RPG's don't really survive if they don't add content to them over time. People get bored eventually.
