Not a good game.
So I got this because I heard Heroes of Might and Magic 6 was totally buggy and forced Ubisoft DRM (constant online).

Now I wasted like 7 bucks buying this, terribly disappointed. The interface is.. a little awkward, not bad, just awkward.

The gameplay is like this: no matter your skill you must return to town and heal your troops before taking on another idle mob squad. Fight squad - > return to town - > heal -> fight squad -> return to town -> heal

etc. etc. etc.

Like Heroes of Might/Magic your troops can 'evolve'. This game has a level up feature which is real cool imo, but it fails terribly. Each battle you get about 19 exp and it takes about 1000 for the tier 1 troops to level up ONCE. Pretty sure you need multiple levels just to upgrade one tier. So, in turn, its Final Fantasy / MMO grinding wearing a HoMM mask.

Do Not Buy.

if you have to heal after each battle you arnt to good at this games, and also each level upgrades your unit to its next tier other than your leader units and special units Like the werewolf or giant spider, there is also an ability you select to heal portion of all your units HP after every Map turn

Yeah, this game was a huge letdown imo too. Even the previous one, Disciples III Renaissance, was a great deal better than this. But if you want to play Disciples, go buy the Disciples II Gold. It's an old game, but at least 100x better than this crap.

I must agree about this game being a terrible let-down. I absolutely loved Disciples 1 and 2, but this was just one giant flop. In their defense, I did read somewhere that the studio was shut down before the game's completion, and a lot of people sort of crudely sewed up the loose bits and made it playable without actually receiving a paycheck for it. But apparently there's a remake / patch / special edition being made that rebalances and fixes a lot of things, makes the battlefield smaller, etc. I definitely recommend Disciples 2 Gold, though. The Disciples game series are constantly on sale, though, so I think it's a much better decision to wait until the next time they're on sale and buy it for 3€.

I like the game, though Disciples III seem to be more polished then Resurrection - I spotted much more bugs in this extension then in base game

I tried to give this game a chance but everything mentioned above plus those voices let me down. The undead units talk like they are humans, hot blooded living humans, its awful. I suppose we stil don't have a Russian voice option?

This is like Heroes fanchise, but it's a different game. I've been playing Disciples since the first release. It's not a bad game, it's just harder than heroes and not as good. But it's an ok alternative.
The monsters work different than in Heroes, yes you get 19xp (for an easy enemy) or you can get 300 xp or even a lot more, depending on the monster pack difficulty.
There's a lot more strategy, every creature matters, even hp on them matters, it's way more deep than Heroes when it comes to strategy.

The greatest differencew Between Heroes and Dsciples is that Disciples is about having the right comb, in heroes it's about having the greatest army. In heroes you have to learn how to not lose units to creeping as you squander for resources to build the best creatures. Deaths in Disciples 3 hurts a lot too but the difference is that in Disciples 3 you are eventually forgiven the hurrts your lesser creatures takes because they heal, in Heroes if you let units dies you are in a downward cycle,

That's your opinion man. Never liked Heroes. Enjoyed Disciples the series more than any other game series. Disciples 1 and 2 were the ♥♥♥♥. D3 is a big dissapointment. Hopefully we will see this game redone or something. Anyway I am still having fun playing it. It may not be D2 or D1 but it's an okay game.

Wrong thread but whatever the steam interface doesn't work during the game. Am I doing something wrong?

so just 1 question, any one beats this on Hard ? Is it even possible ? I beat the whole Renaissance campaign on hard, I recently played Ressurection on hard, well let's just say in the beginning of ACT 1, you ALWAYS get R.A.P.E.D by AT LEAST 5 stacks of NEUTRAL MOBS, 1 of them is always TIER 3 , What do you have ? A bunch of stupid low intiative A.S.S for those monster NEUTRAL MOBS R.A.P.E.D !!!! can you believe it, a snow wolf attacks your tier 1 units 3 freaking times before your mage or hero CAN ACT (WTF did the developers think when they made this INI system !!!)

Well summoned runes can get you through some of those neutral mobs, then at turn 5 (or 6), guess what A WHOLE FREAKING TIER 3, 5 STACK EMPIRE ARMY (6 STACKS IF INCLUDING HEROES), how do you beat that with AT MOST 3 LEVEL 1 UNITS + stupid weak hero ???

I RAGE QUIT AFTER THE 7TH FAILED ATTEMPTS

Who is the A-hole that thinks of this game mechanic, have they EVEN BETA it yet !!!

I am currently playing it on hard mode and I'm already on Act four and didn't played that much to be honest. It's just as challenging as a game should be.
