Had to give up at some point in 2nd chapter because of that, and because I don't like to start the mission over and over :/
This need to be fixed.
It's no fun when something is not beatable.
The only guess I can make is lack of proper funding, being pushed to release the game asap or a simple lack of care about how the game's integrity is.
Currently I only have over 40 minutes vested in the game. I'm going to try ome more time and then probably delete it. It's a shame because I couldn't afford the game until HIB8 showed up, but now that I have it I hardly want to touch it.
I think that I got more than my money's worth, at 6.7 hrs and will consider my self done with the game. It's fun in certain parts, but pretty frustrating for the rest. Could have been a good traditional tower defense game in certain missions though.
It does seem like the AI is cheating, often you'll get attacked as soon as you move out your fleet.
