I was kind of lost most of the time. It started when i could not find video settings and forced the game into fullscreen myself (alt+enter for those who need help on that). Then i could not find a tutorial, jumped into a real game and was bothered with endless text messages about what to do. I read three, discovered that the "disable tutorial" button does not work and clicked away the rest. Then we had lost the round :(

The game can't be blamed that i head trouble figuring out how to play after i skipped it's notes, but is was just too much unrewarding text. And i got it figured out, i believe. I should read up on what my troops could do, though, i'm sure with a strategy it would work better. I'll do that at a later point, but my first round was not of to a really good start.

Dota clone?! wtf?! You even played that game or Dota? It´s NOTHING AT ALL like Dota. Not even close! Stop spreading crap...
Strange the game isn´t even in your library!

Anyway: the game is fun, problem is a lacking tutorial. Pretty sure that will come anytime soon.

Agree with AmmokK. Bought it yesterday. Its a bumpy ride, but its fun. And its nothing like the dota games. Closest thing that comes to mind is the 40k Dawn of war 2 games.

Check my library again.
And yes, it has a tutorial... during your first game.
Ok, ok. It's a LITTLE different from dotas. You can actually recapture points. But in the soul is a dota where you manage a hero.

Game's moderately fun if there's anyone online to play with, whenever I tried getting on there were 3-4 players online playing the resource mode, all others were empty.

Also, game has HORRIBLE ISSUES keeping focus! Playing fullscreen and every now and then my windows taskbar somehow appears, game goes messy (clicks are shifted by 1/4 screen, edge-scrolling gets stuck and scrolls all across the map). Also randomly goes out of fullscreen into window, then sometimes randomly stretches the window out to cover all screen (notice, this is NOT fullscreen).

While playing on a dual-screen setup the game does not lock mouse in, adding yet more problems to the mix. Games shouldn't force me to use 3rd party tools to keep the damn mouse in the game area.

Finally, I tend to get all them random "you were disconnected from the server" messages if I so much as idle 5 secs at the respawn commander screen, even though my connection is fine.

Overall, yeah, fun game with potential, but waaaay too annoying now, and barely anyone to play with.

@Gyumaou Are you playing with Crossfire enabled? My friend was having similar issues, but they all cleared up after he disabled his Crossfire. I don't think the issues you are having are common ones. Except the lack of players....that's definitely happening.

IMO, the game is fun. I like to mess around and play a match a couple times a day. The playerbase is tiny, but there always seems to be at least 1 semi-full game. The worst times are during the AM and near noon; hardly anyone is on then. During primetime hours, there are usually a couple full games. Still, needs way more players...and people need to stop leaving after every match.

I have a decent laptop, 6GB of RAM, with a solid state hard drive and dedicated GPU, but this game for some reason is really laggy. I have no problem playing SC2 multiplayer on high settings, so it doesn't make sense to me. Haven't even tried to really learn it to see whether it's fun or not.

I'm really enjoying it, have my Commander at level 19. It's best in at least a 4 v 4 match, with 6 v 6 better. It's a sort of DoW 2 meets Moba, right down to sacrificing your own spawns to deny the enemy. Its got some nuances, and a different speed than most rts games (matches over in less than 10 mins, usually) and the uneven matches can be a downer. The new patch added a fix for that, apparently, and the devs are pretty active and responsive.

IMO, this game will die if it doesnt go F2P. I think the gameplay is great, it feels alot like DOW2 but its got that MOBA charm. My problem with it, is they cant seem to figure who their audience is. They claim its casual but the gameplay is very much hardcore. They charge 10 bucks then, they add F2P style DLC? Sorry but unless the entire game goes F2P and this game will eventually die. Plus it runs like ♥♥♥♥. I can run Starcraft2, Dawn of War 2, SOASE, you name the RTS i can run it. But this bogs down? lmao how it looks 10 years old for christ sake. Its just a simple matter of poor optimization. Anyways i think its got potential but its wasted at this pont

I play on a laptop with a really bad graphics card – so I had to drop down the res on the game play to have it flow better. Not that big of a deal really. If I play on the family PC (with a better graphics card) I can keep the res higher though. Other than this – no complaints about the game. And this complaint is my own fault, not Starvoid’s.

The game is not my type of game – I’m not one that likes RTS or FPS games at all and never plays them. . . . . That is until now.
This game is awesome and a lot of fun. The endless possible combinations in the way you can build your forces and the quick time commitment of a game is perfect.

Actually, its not your fault. It has nothing to do with your hardware. I bet if you got on that same laptop and ran C&C3, DoW1, SOASE, and even Starcraft 2 all of those games would run significantly better than Starvoid. And i really 2 of those are approaching on 8 years old. Problem is, THEY LOOK BETTER THAN STARVOID and run waaaaaaay smoother. The game looks fine for what it is, but it should run a lot smoother. Optimization is the term, and in this scenario its quite frankly ♥♥♥♥ poor
