What's so bad about windows live?

Whenever I try to log in, it tells me theirs an update. I try to install the update, and the game just shuts down. Every time I try to run the game again, it tells me about the same update. Same thing happens over and over again.

There is a PC fix for this issue. Search the forum. I followed posted instructions and I'm back in. Really.... But I do agree: Why do we need Windows Live? What a crock of s--t.
