GFWL achievements unlocking fine / Steam ones don't, anyone?

Hi there guys, I bought this game during the recent sales and I have some weird issue with it... the game plays fine, never crashed, never displayed an error, installed fine first try and never lost my save or anything...

The thing is the Games for Windows Live achievements are unlocking in due time as I meet the requirements for them... but the Steam ones (with the same requirements) won't unlock, it says I have 0 achievements unlocked while GFWL says and counts my 30+ achievements fine...

On the other hand Steam tracks my playtime correctly so it's not a case of the client being unaware of me playing the game, I don't know what's going on, anyone else with the same issue? I have a lot of Steam games and their achievements unlock withouth problem except for Batman AC GOTY, this is the first game that uses Steamworks + GFWL I own though... any ideas? anyone else? thanks.

I know it sounds pretty stupid but do they unlock when you open the game? It happened to me on another game, I'm downloading this now and if I get no problems I'll have a look for you :)

thanks for the help, I've tried many things... no success, I guess I'd rather not mess too much with my PC since the game runs and works flawlessly except for the Steam achievements not unlocking for this particular game, since I got an Xbox 360 too I'm cool with the GFWL achievements unlocking fine though : )
