Crashes on start
I've seen a few posts similar to my problem but I no straight answers. At least none that work.

Anyway, I bought Arkham City here on steam a few weeks ago, and I haven't been able to play it at all. Deleted, and reinstalled multiple times, and still no fix. What happens is, I start the game, it loads for a second while still on the desktop, then it will pop up with a "Stopped responding" message and ask to check online or close the program. If I try starting it again, it will load for a bit longer, then it will pop up with a "module could not be loaded: 9000" from SecuROM. The link it gives is about as helpful as EA support. It just says please reinstall the program.

I tried running it from the BatmanAC.exe in the steam folder, and it would load, give me the splash screen, then it deleted a bunch of the files, like the bmlauncher and others. When I do "verify game cache" on steam, it says 41 items failed to validate and are redownloaded. It puts the bmlauncher and other files back into the game directory but then the process just starts up again. Stop responding, security module not loading: 9000, then splash screen and deleting a bunch of game files.

Can anybody help me?

I emailed them and said that I had a too weak of a card. I thought fair enough. I finally got a new card (7870) and I still have the same problem.
