Base game upgrade

With the transition from GWFL, users who have purchased or registered any previous version of Batman: Arkham City on Steam will be automatically upgraded to the GOTY edition. Both editions will still be available within your Steam Library.

The updated version will no longer require a CD key, however please ensure you are launching the updated GOTY edition.

AAAAAAAH!!!! I LOVE YOU!!!!
First of all, I was so bummed when the original game was removed and it looked like I would have had to purchase the GOTY version separate. I already purchased all the DLC, but it's nice that some people will be able to use them now too.
And now there's a Mac version! So awesome!
And no more GFWL.

I am so excited to play through this game for the 3rd time, and I'll be ready for Arkham Origins.

Retail Key Owners:

You can get a new key directly from Warner Bros

Still waiting on retail version key codes to be loaded. Please notify us when this is ready to go.

Also, I'm assuming retail owners will get all DLC as well. I know I've paid for it all once already through GFWL, and would like to be able to use the game and content I paid for.

We should/will get the GOTY edition as all steam versions are being upgraded to GOTY if they are not all ready.

I literally just played this game for the first time despite preordering it way back at launch. Back then, despite showing up in the store long enough for me to preorder, the game was not released in my region, most likely due to GFWL only being supported in a few parts of the world. Thankfully, I got access to the game I purchased shortly after sending a ticket, but the whole thing really killed my enthusiasm (as well as not being able to buy DLC).

Anyway, thanks alot, guys! Arkham Asylum was one of my all time favorite games, and I can't wait to finally play through the sequel without a sour taste in my mouth. Three cheers to the death of GFWL!!!

wow, just fired AC up after months of not playing and see GOTY! I think, WOOT, pretty cool, and now it is in the weekend deal! lol Like steam saw me playing and wanted others to join in the fun> lolol

This would be great except some people like say me can't even add the game to steam? When do you plan on adressing this. Weither it be your company or just contacting valve. I have the game purchased yet some how my key is invalid.

So I wasted money buying the steam version of GOTY, I wasted money buying DLC for my retail version before that, AND wasted money buying retail version of the game at all?
I appreciate getting rid of G4WL, but giving away all the DLC after so many of us paid for it isn't very nice. How about some bonus for those of us that bought the DLC?
