Help with purchases?

Contemplating whether to buy a vault chest, I was just wondering, does it count towards your purchased games on steam? I currently can't add steam friends, I was wondering if an in game purchase would unlock this feature.

You have to have your accounts linked, though. Then you can use the same char from Steam or from website. Gold purchased goes with the account.

Thanks! One thing though... how do I set up my steam account so that it works on my browser? I played this game on steam first, so I don't have a browser account, only a steam account. How can I make a ne browser account thats the same as my steam one?

EDIT: I just started it up and found out how but theres 2 options:
Link to existing account or Register a new account.
One of them deletes my steam account, one of them creates me a website account.
It's probably register a new account but I really don't want to risk my save file.
Anyone help here?

You can only transfer your web accounts to steam/kongregate/kabam and not the other way around.

You'll have to trade all your items to the web account then link it with your steam account (if you still want to play on steam).

You should just by a game on steam a good one to start with would be Terraria its worth it

Thnks for the reccomendation! The issue I face is that my PC is very old... It can't even run openGL :/
Are there any cheap games you think I might be able to run on an intel integrated geraphics card with out of date drivers? Would terraria work? I fearwe are straying from Realm here XD

(1) I don't know for sure about gold counting as a steam purchase, but I would suspect not. I'll be testing sometime in the next couple weeks (buying chest+char for each of my kids that plays), and I'll try and remember to update here. However, I don't think that will accomplish your objective. Regardless, I can second Terraria as a good cheap buy on Steam. (EDIT: It's written using XNA, not OpenGL.)

(2) To be sure I'm clear, you want to KEEP your STEAM account, but be able to play in the browser. Right?

If yes, then first launch the game from Steam.
- On the main screen, choose ACCOUNT, located to the right of the PLAY button.
- On that screen, choose the first link, "Register this account to play in a web browser".
- Provide an email address and password to use for logging in in the browser (I don't think this needs to be your steam email, it can be any you own; but I could be wrong).

And at that point, you should be done! Might need to verify. Just follow on-screen instructions (meaning I already did it a long time ago so I can't verify from here).

That's the way I read it on screen, yes. Again though, I did it months ago, and the other way around (I started on the website).
