Permadeath is the ONLY problem in this game, if you only lost yur fame+weapons i wouldnt care. just. permadeath sucks.

Permadeath is the main premise of the game. The risk/reward system is what makes this game unique.

I think it makes it more fun, I mean you look like WAY more of badass having heaps of fame when you know how hard it is to stay alive.

If there was no Permadeath, everyone would just be lvl 20 w/ every class, there would be no risk, and the game would become very boring very fast. It wouldnt be Realm of the Mad God w/out permadeath. Losing a high level char sucks, I know. But I just try to beat whatever I had the previous time. It keeps the whole thing entertaining.

It's been awhile since i've played (almost a year) but you used to be able to get level 20 in like 15 minutes. Maybe an hour if you took your time. Have they changed the time it takes to level up?

Yes and no.

It can be done in 20-30 minutes IF you're following a level 20 around the map AND avoid most of the attacks until you get to the level 20 AND use powerfull items.

Alone, it depend on your chosen class. The more ranged + high amount of enemies your class can deal with at the same time, the faster you level up... so yeah, for example, the Warrior is one of the most slow class to level if you're alone.

you always need a reason to fear death and thats why we have PermaDeath and is they do take it out then they are going to need to change the game Mechanics

Never find this game hard. i have 8 8/8. Just start with wizard and max it. Then farm for other classes if u have.
