Greetings Realmers,

This update will be quite brief. We still do not have an ETA for the game to come back up. We will not be sharing any specific details about our processes for security reasons.

However, you may have recently received an email from us regarding the security breach. Please do not be alarmed, this is the same information we have posted yesterday - we emailed it out to reach as many people as possible.

Please check back for updates about the game and the upcoming Player Appreciation campaign!

UPDATE #5 :: February 6, 9:09 PM Pacific Time

Greetings,

Today was a productive day so far, and the team will continue to work on issues into the night. However, I want to tell you that the game will not be coming back up tonight. I want to repeat that we are focused on safety first, versus getting the game back up as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience, I will have more updates for you tomorrow.

UPDATE #4 :: February 6, 2:00 PM Pacific Time

Hello everyone,
We're slowly turning things back "ON", but we will continue to keep the game down for the time being. As soon as we have an ETA for going LIVE we'll announce it here.

The team is still hard at work, but there are a few things we can tell you right now:

1) Your Realm player data is safe.
2) The game code itself is safe.
3) Our support service is still down. Please do NOT respond to any emails or requests for information from support until we officially announce that it's back up.

Thank you for your patience and support. We appreciate that everyone has been waiting and wondering - we're working hard to secure the game and will bring it back up once we're confident that it's been cleaned up and new security features are in place. This is a hard time, and the team is incredibly thankful for of the kind and understanding comments we have seen on the forums.

UPDATE #3 :: February 6, 2014, 12:15 PM Pacific Time

We recommend everyone takes a quick moment to add a layer of protection to themselves. Along with the chat applet that was loaded into realmofthemadgod.com last night, there was a java applet that contained malicious code. This link is a list of antivirus software that were able to successfully identify the threat. Many of them are free and readily available. Please download, update, and scan your computer--if for no other reason than peace of mind.


UPDATE #2 February 5, 2014, 8:44 PM Pacific Time

Good evening everyone. We are aware many of you have been waiting very patiently for the game to come back and we wanted to give you an update.

We will not be bringing the game back up tonight. We want to let you know this now and not leave you hanging.

The game, and player accounts, are still in good condition. The team is 100% focused on fixing the security issues. We will not bring this game up until we are happy with our solutions and confident we are providing you with a safe and fun experience.

Once the game is up, we will shift our focus to making sure players are taken care of if there is any account damage.

We appreciate your patience and enthusiasm. We know these are challenging times, but we will bring the game back to you as soon as possible.


UPDATE #1:

Thanks for your patience. We're still working through solutions on this end.

In the mean time:
1) Do not respond to any email from Support as of 2/4/14 12pm Pacific Time (GMT-8)
2) Do not click on any links on realmofthemadgod.com or any links received in any emails from Support
3) Do not post any private info (user name and or passwords, etc.) to the forums or other websites. Kabam employees will NEVER ask for your account information or credit card number.

We do not store CC info, so please do not provide this information to anyone.

A couple of additional points:
- The game is not in danger at this time. We have the game data, your user data, and all account info.
- We will not bring the game back up until we've addressed the current issues.

The entire team is working on this right now and we'll continue to provide updates as we have new information to share.
