can i ask why maximizing the window/fullscreening it does that?
Well, it is slightly technical, but I'll try and keep it as simple as possible:
Basically, what you're playing is really just a browser displaying just that Flash file (This is, to my knowledge, how the Flash Projector would work). This will be important later.
When someone is making a Flash game, they usually target a specific resolution, such as Realms in Kongregate and the main website. Now, by maximizing the window, you're stretching the game past it's original size, which causes some hardcoded things, such as GUI, to have their position screwed up.
I haven't worked in Flash for a while due to it being largely dropped from most major browsers, and without looking at the code for Realm, this would be my best guess.
