End is unplayable, very disappointing

Seriously, I didn't expect much when I picked this game. It was in a bundle and the urban hip-hop theme did not appeal much to me.

I tried it anyway, and in fact, it's a lot of fun. Gameplay is fluid, there are lots of abilities, secret stuff to find, that was an overall good surprise.
Until I got to the last few areas of the game. These are completely unplayable, crashing everytime. I have searched for solutions, nobody could came with an universal fix.

Some said assigning process affinity to only one core worked for them, but it didn't for me.
Others said they could hardly pass through the levels by ignoring everything and just running to the end, but this game is all about collection and secret areas.

That's a shame and very, very frustrating. I honestly can't recommend this game to anybody just because of this.

What level? I just had a crash at what must have been very near the end of South 2. When my frustration lowers, I will try it again, but I will not be happy if I can't finish this game. It really turned out to be a pleasant surprise gameplay wise.

The last level I reached is Times Square, just 2 levels further from South 2 (and apparently very near the end). It's a rather long level, and even though I tried several times, I was never able to finish it. I had a couple of crashes before, but this level seems particularly unstable for some reason.

Just got past South 2. I think I was nearly to the end of Times Square and crash. Though I spent a lot of time on the swinging portion of the level until I realize I was not using the controls right and you get a little jump at the end of the swing when you let go. Realizing that made that section much easier. I will probably try again in a few days.

Once I thought I identified a cause : I got grabbed by two of those tongue lashing mouth enemies at once, and got an instant crash. I have been avoiding that situation since.
But then I had other crashes at completely random times, like while being launched from a cannon.

There is also an area where I went through a wall (under a big billboard ad) and that made the game freeze.

Made it through all of Times Square, and it crashed on the score screen as I tried to click to the next level. I was afraid it might have corrupted my save, but luckily it finished saving and I was able to progress to the next boss.

Same here. Two tries, two crashes. Game already crashed a bit in the previous levels, but not that bad.

It crashed for me several times during the final boss fight, once right after i beat him, not impressed. The game was fun right up untill the last 2 levels where the checkpointing fails big time making you watch the ridiculous intro to the same longwinded boss fight over and over each time you die. And the conclusion.... well i guess the story was basically non existant anyways.

Beat the entire game in one sitting locked at 30 fps. What a joke.

Wait how exactly is it fluid? It stutters along at 30 fps and has some of the most unresponsive controls I've seen in any indy game. Glad i tried the demo first

Crashes? Oh better crashes than ♥♥♥♥ that I got. Prelast level, Roboboss (forgot his name). He had 1 HP, I had 2 HP and it was 1 min to win! but he just died. Nox just died from something between walls. And again. And again. He died totally 5-6 times. And... and I deleted game =(

That's totally true! The last level is hard to finish because of the lag. I had to play it over and over again, because my game crashed constantly. Somebody interested in finishing the Co-Op Achievement?! Just search and add "valvenator". That's my last achievement for this game. It is a pretty fun game I think.

The game froze/crashed twice in the Times Square level in the same spot.

The game was fun with and had a nifty concept, but between this and the censored soundtrack (which just sounds ridiculous with long gaps in the lyrics), I'm totally done with it.
