Considering all the stripped features and bugs that came with the Linux update to the original HL, I'll definitely be holding off on this one until it goes live and I literally have no other choice. Already backed up all my custom stuff too, just in case. We'll see how it goes...
As for the SteamPipe Beta, I opted in, and all I remember from it was the reload and green bag noises being ridiculously annoying, and the regular shotgun sounding more powerful than the supershotty.
There isn't any actual gameplay changes as of yet is there? So stop whining. I welcome core changes/fixes/improvements if they ever happen, which I doubt.
TFC went down hill when they introduced teleporters anyway. There's always 1.1.0.6 to fall back on.
For example
Some of these things we've grown to accept as useless weapons, but that's only made it better to kill someone with. The spanner is almost useless in a fight, but that only makes it humiliating to kill someone with.
I do think there are small things that could be changed. Maybe the medkits infect could be a little more reliable instead of only working some of the time. <-- This kinda stuff.
