**SPOILERS FOR END OF GAME**
I just finished playing this on Windows 8 and I was wondering if anyone wanted to talk about the game. I will leave some space between the spoiler and this (cause you know when you hover over this topic at the discussion page a small blurb shows up).

***SPOILERS START***

I personally was disapointed with Arhaim. You don't fight him. You run from him and heal the fertile grounds. You actually fight Elika's father and then you run from Arhaim. Rather disapointing. I thought I would be fighting the a fight against Arhaim like you did for one of the corrupted.

I thought the Hunter was the easiet to beat. The Warrior was the most annoying though because you had to either push him off a ledge or knock him into something. I would have to say for the corrupted I think the Alchemist was the most challenging to beat. The concubine being the next with her illusions. It took me a few min to figure out that you have to jump off of the ledge to stop her illusion and have Elika save you.

At first I was mad about the ending. I was like "You can't kill her! The Prince loves her!" So as you take her outside and place her on the stone slab I thought Ormaz was going to do something, like save her. But oh no, you destroy all your hard work that you did throughout the game to use the life seed from the tree that holds Ahriam to bring her back, and ultimitly release Arhaim. When I realized what they wanted you to do I was like "Shut up, are you serious? Man, falling in love makes you do crazy things."

But then just like that they end the game. Not even a post-game cutscene. I want to know what happens! Did they ever make another game or is there DLC available for this game?

Let me know your thoughts on the game. I would love to chat. :)

I didn't mind the arhiman fight because fighting a giant evil god would be a little out of the prince's league. I thought the warrior was the easiest to beat personally, then the hunter, then the order you mentioned. I was really confused by the ending as well, but I read a discussion that makes a good point. Throughout the entire game you're trying to save this world in the name of a god that has up and left. Elika's whole life has been in devotion to him. So how does he repay her devotion? let's her rot. After I realized this I was like ♥♥♥♥ it, let's spit in his eye and release the bad guy. As for DLC, apparently there is some but it's not available on steam.

Yeah there is an epilouge DLC that was released only on the PS3 and Xbox 360. They have the cutscenes and walkthrough of the epilogue on Youtube. Although they leave us with another cliff hanger that was supposed to go into a trilogy, but the company canceled the 2nd and 3rd game. It's really a shame because this is one of my favorite PoP games.

You hear all this talk about Ormaz but you never once actually see him. You would think that by healing the fertile grounds and sealing Arhiman back into the tree that Ormaz would have given her life as her reward. But nope he doesn't. The way I see it, its like Ormaz doesn't care any more about the fertile grounds and the city of the Ahura. But perhaps if the series wasn't cancelled we would have seen Ormaz.

Both our hero/heroine and us got the short end of the stick. They weren't able to finish their quest and we where cheated out of a good game series.

The warrior boss was easiest when you walked over to the ledge, pillar, etc. and just waiting for his lumbering ♥♥♥ to reach you, then just jump behind him and attack and bada boom.

Throughout the entire game I was expecting the goodness of Elika to change the Prince for the better, but it really didn't show any progress. I really enjoyed the teasing back and forth between them, but was ♥♥♥♥♥♥ they killed her off. It was a struggle to destroy the trees, one for having done all that to get to that point, but also wanting Elika to live. But at what cost? How would she have taken the Prince's actions? She gave her life to imprison Ahriman, and he selfishly released him and destroyed everything to bring her back. Had she taught him nothing? But Gordon Grievous brings up a good point: Ormaz didn't do anything in spite of everything Elika did, but would that have been enough to change Elika's spirtual views? I really was just hoping for a more concluding ending.

I agree with Gordon Grievous: "I didn't mind the arhiman fight because fighting a giant evil god would be a little out of the prince's league"

I think it was a way to "humanize" the prince by not making him beat/fight the god directly, and a way to enrich Elika by making her finish the god. In fact the game shows that Elika is the true "hero" of the game, she is the one who really beats the foes (by redeeming them) and the god (by imprisoning it).

I liked the end of the game. At first I tought that it has two endings, one letting Elika dead. I was wrong. I don't mind endings with cliffhangers, since it is a good cliffhanger. I also liked the ending because it makes a good point in how the Prince is a kind of anti-hero. It was his selfishness that made him do what he did. He could have "let her go", but he couldn't get over her death.

I knew she would die since it is revealed that she was already dead before the game begins. I realized that she would be the martyr of the story. So, when she died (again) I was already prepared. I wasn't prepared for what the prince did next (releasing the god again). That was really a surprise, and I enjoyed that surprise. It let the cliffhanger, ok, but kind of cliffhanger I like: it gives hints that a sequel will come, but - at the same time - it gives a good ending, and the sequel is not necessary for the understanding of the story.

In fact, there are two sequels. One is a DLC, but it is only for XBOX 360 and PS3 and the other is for Nintendo DS. The first one calls Epilogue. However I didn't play it yet. It is too expensive here in Brasil. I also didn't played the DS one, for I don't even have a DS.

@ O Trovador: After reading your comment I tend to agree with you on that. As for a sequal, it was supposed to be a trilogy but the it was scrapped after the DLC epilogue was released.

I know that the DLC is only for the PS3 and for Xbox 360. As for the DS game, I am not familiar with that one. As for playing the DLC, I know you can go onto YouTube and find both the gameplay and the dialouge scences for the DLC.

The DLC is the epilouge for game 1 and sets the story for the 2nd game. At the end of the DLC it leaves you with another cliffhanger. The Prince and Elika are not able to reseal Arhiman at the end of the DLC. She leaves the Prince by saying that she is going to search for her people.

As the 2nd and 3rd game were dropped, we will never find out if they do find a way to reseal Arhiman. Nor do we ever find out if the Prince and Elika ever get together. This is were fanfiction comes in handy. It gives us a chance to write how we think their story ended.

In the end I only killed 1 of the trees, which made the ambient whisperings of Ahriman louder. Then I tried leaving, but the whole area was closed off. I also tried committing suicide by jumping off a ledge, but the game wouldn't let me. Pushing the rotating lever to open up the temple entrance also required 2 people. So the ending I chose was simply to stay and rot outside of the temple with the voices of corruption haunting the Prince's head until he goes insane. Not a very happy ending.

The ending scene is definitely one of my favorites, it was the first game I played that didn't have the typical happy ending. Wish the trilogy wasn't cancelled :(
