This underrated.
Now if only Konami releases Gradius on Steam, I buy it.

Gotta agree, was playing the original a few days back and it hit me ... "I swear there was a new one made on steam" ... so sure enough, came along, tried the demo, bought the game in the end.

Plays just like the classic but with some things improved, nice artstyle to it, keeps the side-scrolling despite being 3D graphics which is perfect.

All in all, its a gem, plays great and is just as fun, I hope the game did well for Konami personally.

If you loved the original, you'll love this one too, no doubts.

I JUST remembered this game existed. I played a demo of it forever ago. Does it ever go on sale here on Steam? I want to buy it (just not at $15).

I just remembered there was a new Sparkster a while back. I decided to get it because I was fond of Freedom Planet. This game is pretty fun.

I remember when this game came out, the reviews were basically, "eh, its good, but it aint as good as the originals" I actually think this game is just as good. it has fewer levels, but the levels are bigger with a little more flexibility in how you play. RKA was amazing, but I could probably play it through blindfolded because every playthrough is virtually identical. Combat is a lot more fluid. It also blows rka 2 out of the water with infinitely better controls. I haven't played sparkster (the snes one) in years though so I can't really remember how it stacks up there.

I need to play it through again on hard now and see how it stacks up with some extra challenge :D
