Can I run it?
EDIT: Tested in-game, runs okay! Thanks for your help!

Hey guys, I'm getting interested in making some stuff in SFM, but I'm not sure if my PC will be able to handle it, as it's a little outdated. If you could, please evaluate these specs for me:

CPU: APU A6-3650 Quad Core
GPU: Radeon HD 5450 512MB
RAM: 4 GB DDR3 1333MHz
OS: Windows 7

Thanks in advance.

Yes, it should run okay. I used to run SFM on a weaker machine than that.
Might be a little slow and weak with only 512 MB on the GPU... (I've never heard of a 5000 series card only having 512MB of memory, I guess the 5450 was the only one...), other than that you should be good to go...
should make a new video series about sfm. "will it run?"
Thanks for the feedback guys, I'm downloading SFM right now.
It will "run"... but i'm worried about the performance you're going to get with a really low end GPU like that. It's going to handle very poorly once you start actually doing things and adding stuff to scenes, lights in particular. But it's better than some people trying to use SFM with integrated graphics, lol.

Interesting... that's actually a pretty nice integrated GPU. I looked it up and compared, it outperforms OPs non-integrated 5450 by more than double lol.

So at any rate... still worried about what kind of performance Mauritsio is going to get with that 5450. Let us know how it goes now i'm curious.

Yeah, I've already tested it in-game and it went around 20 FPS on ctf_doublecross.
if you turn off ambient occlusion till just before you render out it will help with performance.

(right-click the viewport and select render settings. then uncheck AO)
