You should use the first drop-down, not the second one.

The first option (I believe you're talking about Import Animation) is for animations that have been saved in DMX format (by exporting an animation from a clip.) Nothing will show up in the file picker if you haven't created any animations.

The Import sequence is all the animations that are included in the model (ie taunts and game animations like swimming, weapon loading, all the stuff you see the character do in game).

Its just when I doing " Import " and then " Sequence " then im selecting line 2, and when picking a seqence from there, nothing happens ( it shows the pose in the window, but not when i open it ) :3

I know that mostly its the first " line " i need to use, but it doesnt have all that " poses " that "line " 2 has.. its hard to explain :3

Ok, understand now... The first line should give you the ability to pick your animation (sequence).

What I do is move to a place somewhere in the clip that has nothing in it and select some time, then import the animation (sequence) I want into that time.

I'll scrub through that and find the portion of the sequence I want in my shot.

I'll select and copy that portion then ramp time at the insertion point where I want the animation to change the character's current animation (the ramp is only as large as the period to make the traansition from current stance to going into the sequence) then expand time from the end of the ramp to infinity and paste my copied sequence.

The ramp will take care of the transition, then sequence will happen.

The only time I use more than one line in the sequence importer is if I want the character to do more than one animation without stopping. (Make sense?)

Hm? No, all sequences are in the first drop-down as well...

Actually, I was playing with this and the 1st sequence is a master sequence, it plays full tilt. If you add a second sequence and use the slider under the the added sequence, you can nullify the master with the added sequence giving the master a differnt look. You can add up to 4 sequences (I think it is) and achieve some pretty interesting results by manipulating the slider under each of the added sequences.

Yeah, in theory. Seems a bit buggy in SFM though, especially for sequences that rely on settings like move_x or the likes.

Nope not all the seuqneces in the first spoiler/drop down, if you look in the second, does it have many others like headshot kill or backstab kill ( that i want work ) .. :)

Again, they're all in the first one too. If they are missing for you that's definitely not normal.
