Dude, you need to learn 3D modeling to do this. It is a complex task and there's not a step-by-step guide to solve the problem.

Have you looked on garrysmod.org or deviantart.com for the models? they may exist already. if not you may be ablle to find modeler's there who can help.

Not really sure how 2d models would work in SFM??? Gumball characters are 2D from what I've seen.

Yes. but the models we use are 3D and they look quite, these characters however, are more like the 2D Southpark characters used in a 3D environment in the toons. I don't think they'd look right as 3D characters.

You could make a 2d model I guess. have bodygroups for side and rear angles.

One of the SFM artists in my fandom did this.

Yes it was made in sfm.
