What does the new update do?
After the update, I noticed some things had appeared, such as a new "Scripts" Dropdown at the top of the screen, and a selection to "Add overide materials" whenever I right click models. Can someone tell me what these mean, and how to use them? Thanks!

"Add override materials" adds an element array on the model (in the element viewer) called "materials", and automatically adds an element for every material the model links to. You can then add attributes to those elements to control the materials' behaviour. For instance, adding an attribute of type "color" named "$color2" allows you to tint a material whatever colour you want:

This is also used for TF2's cloaking proxy, among other things.

Wow, I thought it would just be a little operation that I would never really need, but it turned out to be extremely useful. Can't wait to use this. Thanks!

Another question: does it work for weapons?

It works for any model, so yes, weapons too :)

Can you change the materials that the model creates for it self? like add blood to the model?

That would be useful. As of yet I haven't found a way to add blood splatter. especially on models. maybe i've just missing something
