What would you guy recommend that is the best Tutorial on youtube? I know theres the valve tut but people say that oh they talk about alot of things you dont need to know/use etc etc. So i dont want to be in a loop around and have things be more complicated then they will already be. I don't know where you heard that, I think they actually cover the very barebone basics in the official tuts. I believe it's very important you watch them thoroughly.

Start with the basics, the tutorials from the software authors. If anyone knows the software, it's the author or the company that the software was developed for. So, go here...

https://www.youtube.com/user/SourceFilmMaker/videos?sort=p&view=0&flow=list&live_view=500

Also these tutorials can be followed on your PC, the files are found in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\SourceFilmmaker\game\tf_movies\elements\sessions\tutorials so you can work along as you watch the video.

Once you're started you can branch out to the Jimer Lins Tips of the Day found here

https://www.youtube.com/user/JimerXLins/videos?sort=p&view=0&flow=list

As you start working in SFM, check out the Guides in the Guide area of this hub. And I have a few tuts available on my YouTube Channel

Check out mine as well, they are meant to be little overviews of basic stuff. I plan on making more in the future too :D.

Also, keep checking the SFM forums, there is all sorts of helpful stuff that pops up here too. And, look at the guides as well like Jack said.

I just ran off of the original Valve tutorial and the awesome Jimer Lins, but then again, my animations aren't quite incredible XD

I guarantee they are better then mine im still at the phase where im trying to figure out how to even control the rig..never mind the animation part cx im getting so frustrated..Trying to make a animation in the motin editor is just horrible for me "scrolling to different parts squeezing the right time not making the whole thing green but then green again sometimes gvbfcgfcf) and then theres the graph editor which works with keyframes which is what im used to but with all the lines that i see it becomes just so much to take in >.<

Rigs are complicated at first, but trust me, keep using them and you will never regret it they make things much easier. And, when it comes down to the motion/graph editor I mainly use the motion editor for a basic pose/lipsync then the graph editor for my actual animating. Just keep practicing, you will get better and more used to it as you go along :D.

I first watched the tutorials from the creators of the software and then started to get a feel for everything then I looked up certain tutorials for the things I want to know how to do, Like how to make a model say the scout do a walk sequence that is used for a different model. By my standards that is the easiest way.
