Sfm - Crashes - Often
My Source Filmmaker crashes quite a lot. Tries to export my poster, tries to do basically anything. Crashes. Is it temporary for everyone or is just for me?

Me to its crash in the middle of animating so it dindt save probaly cause its a bad computer

It's usually a good idea to post your system specs (CPU, GPU, memory, laptop vs desktop) when asking about this sort of stuff.

What I can tell you is that some users have a hard time with it, while for others it works like a charm. Seems SFM can be a bit finicky, especially towards laptops. It is still in beta, after all.

As an example, on my previous rig (Athlon 64 X2, Radeon HD 4850, 4 Gigs RAM desktop) it ran fine, with some issues here and there. dmxconvert.exe trouble for instance, which made working with particles a bit of a pain. On my spanking new rig (8-core I7, GTX 770, 8 Gigs RAM desktop (I was literally giggling like a little girl when I launched Tomb Rader maxed out on it, having a powerful machine is a wonderful feeling I hadn't tasted in a while)) it runs 100% perfectly, no crashes or bugs whatsoever. Lucky for me, I guess ;)

have you tried running SFM in low setting?

this cause sometimes for me as well, its depends on CPU, GPU, RAM or memory on your PC you using.

Keep in mind Sfm is still in beta, there are still a lot of bugs they need to work out
